Annapolis

Maryland’s capital city sits right on the Chesapeake Bay. If you love history and architecture, you’ll enjoy touring Annapolis. It’s the home of Maryland’s State House which was built in the 1700s, several historic homes built in the 18th century, and St. Anne’s Episcopal Church which boasts Tiffany glass windows and a historic cemetery.

Glen Burnie

This Baltimore suburb is a great place to live for commuters. Glen Burnie is a large town, but not nearly as crowded as the big cities. Visit the massive Patapsco Valley State Park where you can hike, swim, or even go horseback riding. Glen Burnie offers a lot of opportunities to support local farms, businesses, and restaurants.

Pasadena

Ready to hang your hat in a quieter town? Pasadena is a great place to settle down. It has plenty of parks and nature trails. And golfers enjoy visiting the Pasadena Golf Center and Compass Pointe.

Severna Park

Severna Park is a wonderful place to raise kids. It’s home to several beautiful parks. And it has some great schools including Folger Mckinsey Elementary School, which boasts high test scores and above-average academic progress.

Crofton

The town of Crofton used to be a fully gated community. And, though those gates are now open to everyone, Crofton still has the look and charm of a close-knit town. It has a Village Green that hosts events for the entire community.

Odenton

Just a stone’s throw away from Annapolis, Odenton is home to a lot of people who commute to larger cities for work. But it’s not just a place to crash at the end of a long day. Odenton has an appeal of its own. It has plenty of areas where residents can fish, hunt, and hike. And Piney Orchard Ice Arena is a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. It’s also home to the Crooked Crab Brewing Company.

Severn

Families love this beautiful suburb of Baltimore for its great public schools. Plus it has an abundance of parks and coffee shops to enjoy. Most residents describe this town as quiet and peaceful.

Millersville

The town of Millersville has several good schools and it’s home to about 10 churches. You can buy flowers, fresh eggs, and more at Wildberry Farm and Market.

Edgewater

Take a trip to Edgewater to visit Historic London Town. It has gardens, buildings, and museums all appropriate to the time period. You can even take a guided tour.

Gambrills

You can have many fun adventures in Gambrills. The MD Corn Maze draws many families to this town. It was named in “The 25 Best Corn Mazes Across the Country to Visit This Fall.”
